100 customers of the kulmbach food bank were in for a surprise this week. That's how many place cards students of CVG art teacher andreas schobert had packed.
The seventh graders had diligently baked various types of cookies and designed paper touts hubsch. Elisa from 7b baked snowflakes because she likes them herself. "I think this is a great idea, because it gives people who don't have a lot of money a chance to enjoy the space," she said, she said while wrapping up.
Sophie contributed walnut macaroons, because "they are delicious".
Andreas schobert came up with the idea for the place-making campaign during a meeting at the savings bank. "There was an old man who talked to a bank employee, which was also visibly upsetting to him", he said. "Poverty in germany" that's why he chose it as the subject of his art lessons. It is important that his students do not just observe the plight of others from a distance.
