On 17. March is not the only time ireland celebrates its patricksday. All over the world there are parades and festivals around this date. On sunday, a group from hochstadt also made its way to munich for the biggest patrick parade on the european mainland: the "beluna maids", the junior dance group from the beluna irish dance school, were proud to be there. Lena, carolin, luise, jule, lisa, sarah, bianca and sophia had arrived by train, accompanied by a few adults, and were already very excited.
"We are happy to be able to take part in such a great parade, especially since our dance group will not be performing at the patricks day party in hochstadt this year," said nagl, explained carolin and bianca continued: "this is now just the substitute for it." "Even though it started to rain now – that’s how i imagine some days in ireland – we’ll run with it", luise said. And happily the brave maids danced under the applause of the spectators towards odeonsplatz, where another irish program was offered.
Saturday, 17. Marz, the circle of friends of hochstadt-castlebar invites to the st.-patricks-day-party from 8 pm in the restaurant aischblick. Admission is from 19.30 o’clock. There is irish live music with "late connection", an open jam session and many specialties from the green island. Admission costs ten euros, five euros for schoolchildren and students. Advance booking offices are sparkasse hochstadt and aischblick.
